Are you asking the right questions?
What is a question if not a quest for truth? An exploration to a destination unknown. A catalyst for wayfinding. The best questions are not easily answered. But explore, you will, once you ask.
And to the extent that you're asking with generosity, your life will expand to greet the question. You may never get to a finite answer, but the simple act of asking will begin to illuminate your next steps - your way forward.
So as I've learned over the past few years, it really is important to keep at the practice of asking more complex and generous questions. Questions in whose asking you will discover beauty, contradiction, compassion, and wisdom.
“We crave the closure of answers, but what if we were enlivened by the questions themselves?” Fr. Richard Rohr
